It’s You vs. Russia, China, WikiLeaks, and Hackers all over, Be Ready
The IRS, DNC, Yahoo, and hundreds of others made headlines after a sophisticated attack started with one person opening a phishing email. All these organizations had security awareness training SAT, policies, IT departments, and other security, and they still all got hacked, WHY. IT Professionals, are up against some of the greatest enemies of our time, including hacking from Russia, China, Iran, and even 14-year olds in their parent’s basement. This presentation will show HOW these attacks happen, WHY they continue to happen, and EXPAND the knowledge on how to prevent them. IT Professionals are responsible for preventing breaches, ransomware, and other threats from getting into their networks, which means they need to be equipped to help their softest targets, their employees. Expanding knowledge for the 364 days after SAT because it’s unrealistic to think someone who doesn’t understand technology, would know real emails from fake ones or would be immune to social engineering.
